Why is Hollywood buying into football agencies?

By Tony Sharkey – @TransferForum5

Recent sales of some of the world’s biggest football agencies have started a trend. Jonathan Barnett sold Stellar to a firm based in Hollywood. Other agencies have been sold to large American concerns.

We have also seen Roc Nation enter the UK football agency space.

Whether you are an actor, a model or a footballer talent management runs along similar lines. If you control the talent then it provides you with strength in the marketplace just look at Wolves.

It’s also one part of football that is currently unregulated, although FIFA is preparing to change that. It marks a further move by American businesses with eyes on the Premier League.
