5 managers Motherwell could turn to

Tommy Wright

A Scottish cup winning manager who is need of a new challenge. Tommy Wright is experienced and has shown many times over the years that he is capable of working with a small budget and delivering big results. Could Motherwell be the club to give Tommy a return to the Scottish top flight?

Jim Goodwin

An up and coming manager who has performed very well at both Alloa and St Mirren. He has SPFL experience as a player, captain and manager. Would be a steady choice.

Graham Alexander

An experienced manager who left Salford this season having not lost a game this season. He took the club to the EFL for the first time in their history. He has previously managed in League One with Fleetwood and Scunthorpe too. He would surely relish an opportunity to manage a club like Motherwell in his native Scotland.

Keith Lasley

The current interim manager. Highly regarded within the club and a coach with a big future. Is it too soon? Only time will tell.

John Kennedy

Celtic’s assistant manager. For me, John Kennedy needs to go out in his own and prove himself as a manager if he is to manage Celtic one day. Motherwell would be the perfect platform. Highly doubtful due to the importance of this season in Celtic history.
