Hearts returned to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Dundee at Tynecastle on Saturday, Andy Halliday & Armand Gnanduillet gave Robbie Neilson’s side a two goal advantage.

Jason Cummings reduced the deficit for Dundee however it wasn’t enough. Dundee disposed of Inverness CT last midweek 2-1 with former Hibs & Nottingham Forest striker Cummings netting his 4th goal in 4 games.

Peter Haring was sent off for the hosts in injury time.

Queen Of The South won a thriller in Arbroath to pick up their 4th straight win on the bounce. Jack Hamilton & Michael McKenna helped the Gayfield Park side form a healthy lead but an immediate Queens onslaught was enough for Allan Johnston to return back to Dumfries with another big 3 points.

A Cammy Smith double was enough for Ayr United to win away at Greenock Morton, fresh from Mark Kerr’s dismissal as Ayr boss last Sunday night.

Nothing separated Alloa & Inverness CT at Indorill Stadium with this tussle ending 1-1. Innes Cameron gave The Wasps an early lead before Nikolay Todorov netted his 2nd goal in 2 games on 27 minutes.

After the weekends proceedings, Hearts extended their lead at the top to 15 with Raith Rovers & Dunfermline Athletic sitting idle because of a COVID outbreak in the Pars camp.

Queen Of The South overtook Dundee in the play-off places thanks to that win at Gayfield Park with Dundee falling by the wayside in the capital. Ayr United pulled out the relegation zone after the success in Greenock.

Morton now entertain the relegation play-off place with results having little bearing on movement for Alloa or Inverness CT.
