Christie Murray: Getting back to fitness and watching Scotland

Being out injured is the most frustrating thing you can experience as a footballer. Playing the game and training each day is what gives every player maximum satisfaction.

This week I have returned to full contact training following several weeks out of action. I started with individual training which is always different to the usual day to day training environment as you miss out on that group interaction. However, to get back into full training this week was such a great feeling.

Watching from home or from the stands is the hardest thing for me because I love leading the team out and the thrill of match day.

Scotland score TEN

Watching my fellow Scotland teammates score ten goals to defeat Cyprus in recent weeks was very pleasing to see.

As a national team, we have worked incredibly hard to succeed over the last few years. We are all gutted not be going to the upcoming Euro’s but we can’t get too down about that. We need to regroup and go again as a national side and we have a great good of players who will do that.

Representing Scotland means everything to me and my fellow teammates. I cannot wait to get back playing again for club and country with fans returning to be able to support us in their numbers when it is safe to do so.
